Combine creativity, artisan skill and industrial know-how to create beautifully finished surfaces, using the best electroplating and coating technologies.
A brief history of Galvalux
Galvalux was established in 1973, providing electroplating services for the eyewear industry, quality surface treatments and coloured coatings on metals which, up to that time, had been reserved for plastics only, introducing innovations such as enamels, lacquers, laser engraving and transfer technology. In the Nineties we began diversifying our processes, investing in ongoing research and innovation. So, when the recession hit the eyewear industry, we were able to stand our ground, investing everything we had in our workforce and our ability to reinvent ourselves, branching out into a new field. We decided to diversify production, transferring our experience with small eyewear components to small parts and metal accessories for leather goods, with our products gracing the catwalks of some of the top fashion houses in the world.
In 2010 we opened our R&D centre, which is also a quality certification laboratory. The fashion industry demands that every detail, buckle, stud and zip be analysed and certified and we provide this service, guaranteeing the highest quality standards, even for coated components. We have carved out a niche for ourselves in the market, thanks to the quality of our work and the professionalism and experience of our staff and partners, who have grown with us over the years. Our ties with the local community are important to us and we do everything we can to strengthen them, lending our support to our workers’ families and the area. Last but not least, environmental sustainability is a priority for us: over the years we have invested in alternative energy, cogeneration, water purification plants with closed circuit systems, zero discharge for our electroplating processes and an air heat recovery system.
